We are analyzing key events in the field of innovations, economic and scientific development in Russia and the regions of the Association.

Krasnoyarsk Territory
At the “Labor Productivity Improvement” forum held in the region, the following figures were announced: the use of generative AI for automated design of structural elements resulted in a tenfold increase in productivity in generating aircraft wing components, while the design time for structural elements and system layouts was reduced by 22 times.
The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education also highlighted the session “Best Practices for Improving Labor Productivity in Russian Universities” held as part of the forum.

Novosibirsk Region
Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, together with Governor Andrey Travnikov, visited the site of the Siberian Synchrotron Radiation Source (SKIF) user facility, where scientific equipment is being installed at experimental stations. The facility is 99.7% complete. Equipment has already been installed at the “Fast Processes” and “High-Energy X-ray Diagnostics” stations.

Tomsk Region
Valery Falkov opened the plenary session of the 11th All-Russian Forum of Young Scientists, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs “UNOVUS” in Tomsk. He discussed with students participating in the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform the support measures available for startups at different stages. Governor Vladimir Mazur also commented on the meeting with young scientists, noting that the discussion covered not only startups but also the factors needed to improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurial activity.

Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Irkutsk Region
A large-scale oil production project has been launched at the Chona group of fields, located on the border of the two regions. A digital geological and hydrodynamic reservoir model was developed to support the project, enabling the selection of efficient extraction methods. By the end of 2026, the project is expected to supply up to 2 million tons of oil annually to the Eastern Siberia–Pacific Ocean pipeline system, according to Head of Yakutia Aysen Nikolaev.

Irkutsk Region
The region has submitted an application to participate in the competitive selection for the “Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses” program. The core of the interuniversity student campus in Irkutsk will be a science and technology park focused on high-tech solutions for regional needs. Planned areas include competence centers such as “Energy of Siberia,” “Aircraft Engineering,” the Baikal Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, and the “New Molecules Conveyor,” Governor Igor Kobzev said.

Nizhny Novgorod Region
Summing up the results of CIPR 2026, Governor Gleb Nikitin highly оценил the impact on the region: “We reached agreements with major investors to support Nizhny Novgorod IT startups. Our companies presented their developments at CIPR, arguably the best platform for professional dialogue and finding interested partners.”

Perm Territory
Scientists at Perm National Research Polytechnic University have developed a program for the calculation and optimization of small-scale reactors in which natural gas is converted into methanol.

Republic of Tatarstan
Researchers at KNRTU-KAI named after A.N. Tupolev have developed and patented a high-precision device for measuring alternating electric field voltage. It will allow energy specialists to monitor grid parameters in real time, prevent accidents, and calculate power quality indicators, resulting in more reliable and safer operation of electrical equipment.

Kaluga Region
Governor Vladislav Shapsha noted that his initiative on the robotization of warehouse complexes, first announced at SPIEF 2025, has evolved into a full section of a state program aimed at improving labor productivity and automating production. Innovative development remains one of the region’s key priorities. The business forum “Pioneers of Innovation: Unity of Business, Science, and Technology” was held here for the sixth time.

Kaluga Region is the only Russian region represented at the крупнейшей International Exhibition of Unmanned Technologies in Shenzhen, China. At the regional stand, two residents of the regional UAV research and production center are presenting new projects.
